Human trafficking is the world’s fastest-growing crime, shadowing the lives of countless children. Today, the number of slaves surpasses those during the transatlantic slave trade, with fewer than 1% of victims ever being rescued. Considering the odds, these children have little hope for rescue. This is where we have chosen to step in.
Why we chose Marici
We started off in Coral Gables since 2007. Since then we have donated informally to a number of local non-profits that we have morally and socially aligned with. In 2024 we were introduced to Marici and everything changed. The stories we heard from the founder, the survivors and later their staff moved us to make our donations part of how we do business.
Marici envisions a world where all children are free to discover their best possible life. Marici deploys the world’s most sophisticated solutions to shut down criminal networks, rescue and heal survivors, strengthen communities, and implement local strategies to transform child sex trafficking hotspots globally.
Marici operates in 8 of the world’s most severe trafficking hotspots across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. To date, they have dismantled over 550 trafficking networks and saved over 31,000 children.

Dreaming of becoming an actor, 16-year-old Ruby’s life took a dark turn when deceived into the world of sex trafficking. Rescued in a raid, she found hope and a new direction at a shelter home, where she now pursues her dreams of becoming a makeup artist and accountant, embracing education and crafting as pathways to rebuilding her life and helping others.
Beyond her aspirations, Ruby carries a deep desire to contribute to society and create visibility for survivors of trafficking and their healing journeys. An embodiment of strength, she has mastered the art of handcrafting crochet coasters. She is an inspiration—a survivor who refuses to let her past define her present. Radiating with positivity, Ruby’s spirit shines bright, igniting hope and inspiring those around her.
